Cevennes national Park
This natural park has two special features that make it quite unique: It is the only French preserved national park which is significantly inhabited, and it is also the only one located in a mid-mountain area. Therefore, it shelters a significant natural heritage and has developped a policy which reconciles protection with sustainable development.
This unique national park is situated a few minutes away, in Lozère, where you will find Ecomuseums, Caves, Cirques, Castles and many other touristic sites.
Road maps and itineraries are available at the campsite for a day or half-day.
Many local specialties are also worth trying in the Cévennes, such as the Pélardon (round goat cheese).
The Tarn, seen from below : Sit in a boat and let the boaters guide you through the emerald-like waters and the breathtaking landscapes of the Cévennes. They will tell you about the history and fauna of the place.
